Transitioning from no experience in products to BizDev, she who won the Rookie of the Year award seriously aims for a world where "fun" is contagious.
「日本“から世界”をぶち上げる」
The motif of the corporate logo is the "blue flame." The flame changes to blue as the temperature rises.
Employees working at Zeals possess qualities similar to the flame. An incredibly high level of heat and a steadfast will hidden in their hearts.
In this series, we would like to reveal the true nature of the flames that reside in them.

Miyu Shimo Kama (Tifa)
Joined as a new graduate in 2021.
After working as a communication designer during the internship for accepted candidates, I participated in the launch of a new business.
In facing clients in the automotive industry, I transitioned to BizDev. I manage product development to meet client needs, standing between the product and business. My achievements were recognized, and I received the "Newcomer Award" in 2021. Currently, I am a communication designer in the fourth business division.
Nickname origin: My last name is "Shimokama" → "Kama" translated to English is "Kettle" → When thinking of "kettle," it reminds me of "Tefal" → Tifa.
"Creating a Chain of Enjoyment" I have seen here the vibrant way of working without perceiving work negatively.

"Creating a Chain of Enjoyment"
These are the words I wrote on the "WILL BOARD" expressing the will of Ziels.
I genuinely want to spread the "circle of enjoyment" throughout society by actively conveying these feelings, which have not changed since my student days.
– Honestly, I think there are tough times when working, but why do you insist on the keyword "enjoyment"?
"I don't want to work after getting a job"
"I don't want to become a member of society"
I heard many people lament such words during my job search. When I asked them why, they said, "because that's what seniors say." I thought, what a dreamless world this is (laughs). So, I set my axis to "increase the number of adults who enjoy their work" and was job hunting. Then, I thought about how to increase the number of enjoyable adults.
① Streamlining the parts of work that are done reluctantly
② Enjoying working myself first
Those were my thoughts. Furthermore, when I delved deeper into these two points, I organized it into: ① A company that provides IT solutions to advance work efficiency ② Being in an environment where "you can challenge high goals", "there is an environment to work with a shared perspective", and "you can achieve results".
Just hearing this, it seems there are several companies that fit, but in the end, why did I choose Ziels? It was because I learned about the presence of employees who joined mid-career, and my future colleagues before I joined. During my job search, since it was the early days of online recruiting, I couldn’t see inside the companies clearly and lacked judgment materials. I asked, "Please let me come to the company because I want to know the atmosphere!" and received the opportunity to talk with employees in the office. The fact that everyone seemed to genuinely enjoy working together and that opportunities to take on significant responsibilities from a young age were available became the ultimate deciding factor.
Sudden 1-on-1, a new business venture opened just one month after joining

– What kind of work have you experienced since you joined?
A month after joining, a 1-on-1 meeting with the president was set up. I had joined Ziels from an intern program for prospective employees, and at that time I was a communication designer, but the president's proposal was, "Would you like to come to new business?"
Honestly, I was hesitant as I wanted to excel as a communication designer. However, I realized that a job solving challenges in the automotive industry awaited in the new business, and it felt aligned with what I wanted to do during my job search, so I jumped in.
My way of living is to leap toward the exciting; at that time, I thought, "I have no choice but to do it!" and switched gears.
– How was the launch of the new business?
The actual work was not without its struggles (laughs). First, it started from a point where there were no clients, so I began by writing letters by hand to the presidents of car dealers across the country to set up meetings. Generally, I think there is a clear division of labor, but since it was a new business, I experienced everything from appointment setting to negotiations to receiving orders all by myself.
From there, as the team expanded and the number of clients increased, I became responsible for BizDev, promoting product development that meets the respective requirements of clients, business, and development.
The work of BizDev requires me not only to look after the clients but also to coordinate with both business and engineering departments within the company to direct what a good product direction is. Since I am not from an engineering background, I naturally lacked development knowledge and found it hard to know what functions were possible to develop.
"Because there are so many unknowns, I will just keep moving"
With that one thought, I looked for people within the company to interview, and sometimes proposed business trips to visit dealers and directly ask engineers what functions customers wanted.

I devoted myself to acquiring real information without filters.
When advancing functional development, there are always situations where information needs to be organized and decisions made. Based on the obtained information, I summarized my thoughts and made proposals to those around me, but it didn’t always go smoothly. So, I went to Daisuke, the division head, to propose the development direction, and was able to convey our intentions.
In the end, there are certainly functions that cannot be developed, so it was mentally challenging, but by sincerely communicating to everyone involved "why we reached that decision", I gained their understanding.
The spirit of "hospitality" ingrained in the company felt through BizDev, and the story behind winning the first rookie award
– You have experiences that don't seem like they come from just one year since joining. In May this year, you won the "Rookie Award", which is given to only one graduate, how did you feel when you were recognized?
"Could it really be me?" Since I won the first rookie award, it was unexpected, and I was truly surprised. The achievements I made could not have been realized without the engineers who developed it and the account planners who assisted in gathering information. Nonetheless, I was really happy that what we all created together could stand out like this. Moreover, I thought that Ziels is a company that properly shines a light on the members who support behind the scenes.

– Since you have experienced BizDev, I would like to know if there is any sense you have gained.
I strongly felt that the engineers involved in Ziels' products embody "working for others." It is precisely the spirit of "OMOTENASHI", which is Ziels’ culture. During meetings about functional development, questions like "Does that lead to 'hospitality'?" flew around the meetings many times. Everyone was not viewing work as just a job or a single case, but consciously delivering a good experience for the end users using the product. I was very impressed by the commitment to manufacturing and how the important culture of "hospitality" has taken root in the engineering organization. I feel that the attitude of properly digesting and pursuing who and what problems to solve is an essential piece as Ziels expands chat commerce from Japan to the world.
Everyone has a way to enjoy life. I will create that opportunity.

– Thank you. Finally, can you tell us how Tifa plans to "launch from Japan to the world"?
I want to greatly expand the "chain of enjoyment" through communication and products from Ziels infused with the spirit of hospitality.
I feel that Ziels' communication via chatbot delivers support for people's decision-making. Through the evolution of the product that offers communication capable of supporting decision-making,
"To as many people as possible,
deliver chat commerce in various approaches
and provide opportunities for 'enjoyment'"
That's it. I originally disliked studying. However, I entered a marketing seminar, was thoroughly taught how to conduct research, and during my continued thinking, the moment information gathered and points connected into lines and surfaces felt exhilarating. Therefore, I believe that by providing opportunities to realize "enjoyment," the "chain of enjoyment" will grow.
From this term, I have been assigned as a communication designer in a new business division, and another challenge is starting from scratch. I will capitalize on the product knowledge gained from my previous experience to create my unique "chain of enjoyment".
