UNDERDOG ~ A Message from CEO Shimizu to New Graduates Challenging the Age of AI Agents ~
ZEALS welcomed 9 new employees in April 2025. Adding to the 2 members who joined in October last year, a total of 11 new employees have joined the company.
At the entrance ceremony, after the presentation of the employment certificates and the new employees' declarations of their determination, a message from CEO Shimizu was delivered to them. We bring you photos from the ceremony.

Challengers Taking on the Era of AI Agents

The 25 graduates who joined this year are a part of a new era, having been recruited at the timing when Zeals began to provide customer service AI agent products in earnest. They are also employees who have experienced the AI-focused summer internship "DEEP DIVE," which is now in its third year.
Each of the 11 unique 25 graduates has used their diverse strengths to boldly take on the era of AI agents, deciding to join Zeals.
On April 1st, the entrance ceremony was held under the watchful eyes of the CEO, Shimizu, and board members, along with the employees. After the entrance certificates were awarded by Shimizu, the nine new employees expressed their passionate resolutions in words.

UNDERDOG — A Message from CEO Shimizu to Those Facing Adversity
Here, we introduce the message that CEO Shimizu sent to the new employees.
Everyone, congratulations again on joining the company.
The word I want to convey to you today is “UNDERDOG”.
This word generally means "someone in a disadvantaged position," but has evolved to refer to “those who confront adversity, keep striving, and achieve something.”
Right now, the world is dramatically changing due to AI agents.
There is often discussion about “stable jobs that can sustain you in the age of AI,” but it is meaningless to engage in such discussions. In the U.S., the demand for coders, which was previously the most sought-after job, has drastically decreased, and AI is advancing into every field. In such circumstances, we must continually face the question, "How do you prove your own value?"
For you all, stepping into the midst of these changes in the age of AI as new graduates opens up immense possibilities.
It is you, who have a flexible mindset and can embrace new technologies without prejudice, who are the most adaptable in this era.
On the other hand, you are also a minority.
When suggesting new ideas and attempting to bring about change, there may sometimes be conflicts.
However, that is exactly the spirit of “UNDERDOG.”
Defy existing common sense and create new value.
The journey will not be easy, but by believing in your own value and continuing to take action, it will eventually become the new common sense.
